NEW! Pre-Camp Powwow

Pre-Camp Powwows are intended for any parent who has a questions about the program and would like to talk with the Summer Camp Director and Executive Director. RSVP to the camp office for one of these informal meetings and ask anything about our program or facility.

Tall Pines Day Camp  

Day Camp

One Week, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Ages: 6 - 12

Tall Pines day camp offers a nurturing environment that allows campers to be creative and have fun with children their own age. Campers are placed in coed, age-based groups that remain together with the same counselor for the entire week. Whether you send your camper for one week or every week, it will be a great part of their summer!

Parents: Don't worry about making lunches this summer. We’ll provide a lunch for campers each day.

 

Teen Days  

 

One Week ,9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Ages: 13 - 15

In addition to the traditional day camp programs (creek stomps, slip n' slide, swimming, boating, crafts), teens will participate in Ultimate Frisbee, journalism, drama, and outdoor crafts. To further expand the program, Teen Days will also take a day trip each session to explore local recreation sites.


Day Camp Overnights (SESSIONS 2, 5, 9 & 10)

Cost: $30 per child

Sign your Day Camper up to spend the night at Y-Noah! Overnights happen on Thursday night, so drop your camper off for Day Camp on Thursday morning and expect to see them home Friday evening for the weekend. This is a great way to get your camper thinking of spending a week at Y-Noah for Overnight Camp. 
   
   *Please pack your camper for an overnight; including clothes to sleep in, toiletries and sleeping bag.
   *Any medications needed will need to arrive in the original container and be turned in to the Health Officer upon arrival.



Passport Program
The Passport Program is specific to Akron Area YMCA Day Camps. Sign up for 8 weeks or more of Day Camp at any Akron YMCA Branch (including Y-Noah) and you are eligible for 1 week of Overnight Camp at Camp Y-Noah for $160 (a $275 value)! You must choose your week of Overnight Camp at least 2 weeks prior and it is subject to availability.



Cheernastics (SESSION 3)  

 

One Week, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Camp Y-Noah is collaborating with the The Perfect Balance Gym, Cheer and Fitness Inc. to offer Cheernastics Day Camp. Half the week will be spent in a premier gymnastic and cheerleading facility and the other half of the week campers will enjoy traditional Day Camp activities. No experience required and lessons are age-specific.

Great Lakes Science Center at Camp Y-Noah (SESSION 6)
One Week, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The Great Lakes Science Center will be sending staff to Camp Y-Noah to teach the campers about different aspects of everyday life. Campers in this session will enjoy a field trip to the Great Lakes Science Center.

Sailing Camp (SESSIONS 6 & 7) 

 

One Week, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

In collaboration with the Portage Lakes Yacht Club, Camp Y-Noah is proud to present the Junior Sailing Camp on the Portage Lakes. To start, campers will be provided with dry land instruction before learning to sail their own sailboat. Once campers understand the art of sailing, they will practice and improve boat handling and sailing skills and apply basic sailboat racing rules and tactics. All campers will be sailing yacht-club provided Sunfish sailboats. The campers must be able to swim in deep water. Life jackets and water shoes will be worn at all times when on or near the water. Get ready for a sailing adventure around the great Portage Lakes!

  • Drop off & pick up is on the grounds of the Turkeyfoot Island Yacht Club, 4528 Lahm Drive in New Franklin off of Rt. 619. Transportation from Camp Y-Noah is not provided.

  • Lunch and lifejackets will be provided by Camp Y-Noah. Water shoes need to be provided by participants. No sandals please.

Ranch Day Camp  

 

One Week, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Ranch Day Camp adds two hours of horseback riding instruction to the Day Camp schedule. Not only will campers enjoy the best of Day Camp (swimming, archery and more) but they will get great instruction for beginner and intermediate riders, as well.
 

Full Day Ranch Day Camp

One Week, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (SESSION 4 only)
Ages: 8-16

Program members: $365 
Full Day Ranch Day Camp allows your child to spend the full day with the horses at the barn. This session stresses a more intensive riding schedule. There will be extra riding lessons and more responsibilities around the barn. This program is for any level rider.

Bus Service

 

$10 per week

The bus service picks up your camper and drops them off at locations throughout the Akron area.

Extended Day

 

For an additional fee, campers may be dropped off as early as 6:30am and remain at the YMCA as late as 6:00pm at all sites offering before and after care. The cost is $25 per week for families requiring either early care or later care. For families requiring both morning and evening extended care, the cost is $45 per week (a 4% savings).
