For Youth Development
Early CAre & Education (Child Care)
At the Y, we're committed to building bright futures for the youth in our community.
Early Care & Education and Before And After School Enrichment programs at the Y focus
on nurturing child development by providing a safe and healthy place to learn foundational
skills, develop healthy, trusting relationships and build self-reliance through the Y values
of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Each year, the United Way of Summit County provides funds to support the Y Early Care & Education programs.
A proud Summit Education Initiative (SEI) Partner.
Helping youth develop the social and emotional attributes proven to support success along the cradle to education continuum.
Education & Leadership
All kids have great potential, and we work every day to help them set and achieve personal and educational goals. Children and teens build skills and confidence – exploring new interests and passions through the Y. Dedicated and positive mentors along with leadership and academic enrichment programs, including Y Achievers and Teen Leaders Clubs, ensure that every child has an opportunity unlock their true potential.
Swim, Sports & Play
The Y is the starting point for many youth to learn about becoming and staying active, and developing healthy habits they’ll carry with them throughout their lives. Whether it's gaining confidence from learning to swim or building positive relationships that lead to good sportsmanship and teamwork, the Y helps build healthier, happier kids from the inside out.
Overnight, Day and Specialty Camps at the Y share one thing: they’re about discovery. Kids have the opportunity to explore nature, find new talents, try new activities, gain independence, learn life long skills and make lasting friendships and memories. And, of course, it’s fun too.
