YMCA Child Care
Did you know that the Akron Area YMCA is the largest provider of non-governmental childcare in the community?
Our size means that we offer a wide choice of locations for parents to choose from. But choice and convenience are not the main reasons so many people trust us with their children’s care—the main reason is our mission.
“To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.” This means that we incorporate our Character Development traits into all that we do in Child Care. Children in our programs learn caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in addition to receiving top-quality care from our state-licensed staff and sites.

Preschool
Our preschool programs are designed to provide academic preparation for kindergarten. Some sites offer gymnastics, gym or swimming as a part of their curriculum, and some sites also offer school-aged child care.

School Age
School Year Child Care is before and after school child care for children usually between the ages of five and twelve. This is a great way to make sure your children are safe before and after school! Hours of operation and ages served vary by location.
