YMCA Youth & Family Programs
“We build strong kids, strong families, strong communities” is the national theme of the YMCA. At the Akron Area YMCA, we take that goal seriously. We know that building strong families goes a long way toward building strong kids and communities!
In today’s fast-paced and often transient world, the Akron Area YMCA is a place all families in our community can turn for a place to belong. We are the place to have fun as a family, meet other families like yours, and grow!
Guides
YMCA Y Guides have been creating family memories for over 60 years! They are a great way to build a meaningful relationship with your children while helping them embrace the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. You get all of this while having lots of fun and meeting other families like yours!
All of the programs below meet in small and large groups and all have an event for the entire family every summer.
