We wish. But the Child Watch hours of operation are dependent on each branch. Most of our locations do offer Child Watch during weekday mornings and evenings from Monday through Thursday. But, don’t assume that all branches are the same. If you plan to use this membership perk, it’s always best to clarify the availability before you bring your child to the branch.

No. Because your child will not necessarily be the only one in Child Watch, we don't allow any outside food or beverages to be brought into this space. It's just safer - for everyone.

Yes. In fact, any person leaving a Child in Child Watch must leave their cell phone number with the Y staff. The parent/guardian will be called in these instances:

  • Your child requires a diaper changing
  • Your child needs to use the restroom
  • Your child is causing a disruption.
CHILD WATCH STAFF WILL NOT FEED, DIAPER OR ASSIST WITH RESTROOM DUTIES.  IF THESE THINGS NEED TO BE ADDRESSED, A STAFF MEMBER WILL CALL THE ADULT HERE WITH THE CHILD.

The adult in charge of the child is asked to respond immediately to the call, so please have your phone handy at the time of your workout.

Child Watch may close in cases of inclement weather or when there is no usage.
