Determining financial assistance amounts is handled by YMCA branches in a fair and consistent manner. Every Y member receives the same membership benefits, regardless of whether or not they receive financial assistance. Y members can feel confident knowing that they are a part of an organization that cares greatly for the well-being of all people, and is committed to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

How to Apply

To apply for financial assistance, simply apply online below or complete the paper application form and provide the requested information regarding income and family size to your branch membership director for processing. 

Required Documents 

A short letter explaining your circumstance.

A proof of your residency.

Plus... one of these documents to apply for membership:

1. 1040 Federal Tax Form(s) for all incomes in household.
2. Documents showing most recent 30 days of income.

3. OWF (Ohio Works First) card

4. TANF (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families) card

5. SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) card 

All subsidy applications and personal documents are kept confidential.
