Whether he's in the fitness center lifting weights or running on the treadmill, in the gym playing pickle ball or drinking coffee and quizzing his buddies about trivia, Ken is at the Wadsworth YMCA. He's got his routine, 5-6 days a week. Retired from the U.S. Army where he played trumpet in the army band, Ken, a former tennis player, is an adjunct music teacher at Ashland University and a juror of school band shows. But, it's coming to the Y that brings him the most fulfillment, as he said he feels weird when he's not active.
So, Ken stays active.
He has lost over 65 pounds in the last year, with a modification of his diet and his dedication to remaining healthy.
"If I'm not here where I get to do my work-out and see my friends, it's not a completed day, " Ken said.
