STRENGTH CLUB
How Do I Join?
~You must be 18 years old or older to join
~Register in person
~Pay the ONE-TIME $20 fee to join the club
What Should I Do Before My Lift?
~Before you attempt to pass a tier you must schedule your lift ahead of time
~You must provide a spotter
~Either the Fitness Director or a Fitness Staff must be present to verify your lift
~You will be given 2 attempts per scheduled time (15 minutes total)
~You will be weighed in right before the attempt to get an accurate weight needed to be lifted
~Remember, NO wraps or assistive devices are acceptable unless clearly stated in the lift sections
What Are The Tiers?
~For ALL TIERS, you must complete 5 unassisted reps
~The BENCH tiers are as follows:
-Tier 1 you must lift 1/2 your bodyweight
-Tier 2 you must lift your bodyweight
-Tier 3 you must lift 1 1/2 times your bodyweight
~The DEADLIFT tiers are as follows:
-Tier 1 you must lift your bodyweight
-Tier 2 you must lift 1 1/2 times your bodyweight
-Tier 3 you must lift 2 times your bodyweight
~The SQUAT tiers are as follows:
-Tier 1 you must lift your bodyweight
-Tier 2 you must lift 1 1/2 times your bodyweight
-Tier 3 you must lift 2 times your bodyweight
What Do You Get For Passing A Tier?
~For gaining Tier 1 in either bench, deadlift, or squat, you get a specialty Strength Club T-Shirt (one per person, not per lift)
~For gaining Tier 2 in either bench, deadlift, or squat, you get your picture posted in the fitness center and on this page
~For gaining Tier 3 in either bench, deadlift, or squat, you get your name on a corresponding canvas displayed in the fitness center
~If you gain Tier 3 in all three lifts, you will gain our Triple Crown!!! Triple Crown winners get their names permenantly etched on a plaque
Bench Information
~Bar must touch chest and cannot bounce off
~Full extension of arms
~Back FLAT on the bench, NO ARCHING
~Feet flat on the floor
~Lifting belt is allowed
Deadlift Information
~Must touch the floor between reps
~Cannot drop rep #5
~Full extension (back & knees)
~Wrist straps & grips are allowed for this lift
~Lifting belt is allowed
~Shoes are optional
~MUST use the hex bar
Squat Information
~Head up
~Parallel
~Shoes are optional
~Back squat ONLY with barbell
~Squat rack ONLY (No smith machine)
~Lifting belt is allowed
