In this "Moments of Inspiration" video, several counselors and campers, past and present, explain what they love most about Akron Area YMCA's Camp Y-Noah. Akron Area YMCA is a community and out of school time partner of Summit Education Initiative.
From seed to sprout to tree, we know that in order for children to bloom they must first have strong, healthy roots.
At the Y, we're dedicated to doing all that we can to help your child grow to his or her full potential.
To commemorate our 150th anniversary, we've set a goal to reach out to 150 people who have a great memory, story or legacy moment to share about the Akron Area YMCA. If you're one of these people, let us know.
Through our members and program participants, the Akron Area YMCA reaches more than 78,000 people annually. Providing programs and services that nurture the potential of kids, promote healthy living and foster a sense of social responsibility. Through financial assistance, supported by your Annual Campaign donations, we have been able to provide scholarships to more than 45,000 people in the communities we serve so they can learn, grow and thrive!
We are a nonprofit organization that believes everyone, regardless of age, income, or background, should have the opportunity to learn and grow with us at the YMCA. That's why we offer financial assistance programs that ensure no one is turned away for economic reasons.
Over the past 18 years, the Endowment Foundation has provided grants totaling more than $727,000 for the Akron Area YMCA and its programs.
