Our Impact

Through our members and program participants, the Akron Area YMCA reaches more than 78,000 people annually. Providing programs and services that nurture the potential of kids, promote healthy living and foster a sense of social responsibility. Through financial assistance, supported by your Annual Campaign donations, we have been able to provide scholarships to more than 45,000 people in the communities we serve so they can learn, grow and thrive!

Annual Campaign

We are a nonprofit organization that believes everyone, regardless of age, income, or background, should have the opportunity to learn and grow with us at the YMCA. That's why we offer financial assistance programs that ensure no one is turned away for economic reasons.

Endowment Foundation

Over the past 18 years, the Endowment Foundation has provided grants totaling more than $727,000 for the Akron Area YMCA and its programs.
